the National Vocational Qualification is at present Free of charge
by OSAT through the Goldtrowel plastering organisation (HOST).
So if you've had the training and gained the
experience have you started to build a portfolio of evidence.
Yes a portfolio of documented evidence is required that covers the
relevant units for the NVQ you require.
Photographs with you in them. written or typed
testimonials from builders, employers or customers
your portfolio should also contain your name age and address as well
as a current CV.
it should be put in order with a list of contents that match the
units required
On induction we will provide your NVQ Portfolio with all relevant
units to be completed.

you will first need to take a short induction at Goldtrowel
then you will receive a minimum of 2 visits to your workplace
where an assessor will ask you some questions and may view you
working.
obviously because the NVQ is evidence based,
so if you cannot produce the evidence then you cannot receive the
NVQ
your certificate from Goldtrowel counts as a valuable APL that
should be placed next to your CV
certificates issued by Goldtrowel after 2006 list the units you
passed during the course on the certificate you received

experience it can still be a daunting task to gain your NVQ to
gain the NVQ in plastering you need to produce evidence of units

difference that you will be assessed by skills testing and build
